LOST

Yesterday's prompt for LOAD in Vogue was to do a layout about LOST.  Something you've lost. Someone you've lost.  You get the idea.  I am never able to do the prompt immediately - I can't find the photos, I can't think of something to journal about, the time limit is too much pressure.  You get the idea.  Today after I looked through the gallery a few things came to mind that I might work on later.

LOST - the TV show that Drew and I were hooked on forever.  And I still don't totally get it.  But it was definitely fun to watch.  It's been over for a few years now but we still talk about it once in a while.

LOST items - This is what has really come to mind.  I lose things sometimes.  We all do right?  Keys, my iPod case.  The kids lost the blue iPod for several months. We've lost countless items from the library.  There was a time that I really got freaked out about this.  I like to think of myself as pretty organized but life certainly gets in the way sometimes.  Too many piles.  Too many projects.  It has really helped me to learn about the power of prayer.  So many things have been found. Some right away.  Others may take time.  Still others may never be found.  But I've learned not to sweat it.  If it is meant to be found it will be.  And it's one of those things that when it happens, I know just who to thank.  I have yet to stand up in church and shout it out as a praise item, but I have been tempted.  Really tempted.  I mean God works in the little things too doesn't he?  What once was lost has now been found.  Hallelujah!

BPC photo challenge #3 - summer project

Day 3 BPC photo Challenge is to start a summer project and capture it with our camera.  I've chosen a pic of one of the activities on our summer bucket list - to clear the storage bin and restore order to the garage (and a little purging wouldn't hurt).
Done (well the storage bin at least - still some sorting to go in the actual garage but we have made major progress).

BPC photo challenge #2 - initials

Day 2 Challenge?  Find your initials in the world around you and present them in a collage.  I used the fuzel app.

The 'A' for Alison is from an Aerarium Group properties van.
The 'J' for Joy is from a license plate.
The 'C' for Currie is an upside down swirl from a lamp post.

BPC photo challenge #1 - From where I stand

BPC Day 1 challenge is to take a picture every once in a while showing "from where I stand".  Here goes. Beautiful warm sunny day 8am; wearing my socks and slippers as my heals are splitting BAD!  Still in my PJs.  Standing on a remnant of the new carpet placed in our kitchen to ward off wet pool feet.  M4  sitting at my feet as he usually is these days, with the toys of today; clothes pins and Retro planet cup from birthday party M2 attended.

TheLastTime - LOAD132 - Day20

It's about high time I added something to this poor blog of mine! Here is a layout for Day20 of LOAD132. I've been feeling nostalgic about M4 being our last and putting away some of his things to be used no more...:(

Testing testing

Okay - just learning about this new app (for me) so that I can perhaps add a post or two to this neglected blog! So far I've learned I have to pick the photo first or my text is gone... Hmmmm

Not too exciting but I was really captivated by the scene by the marina today on our walk. Everything was so still and the clouds were so colourful. Beautiful early start to the new season!
